It's Been A While

It's been a while..

now everything's changed a little, since this is my latest post in a while..

Well, I just have no idea what I would be blurting here, but still, I want to (hahaha...).

Nowadays, there are many trends ever passed since my last post here, Apparently the dominance of Gangnam Style, by PSY, it seems to be that the "fire " that spread throughout the world doesn't seem to die down.. yet. Since the first time I've heard the news from Korean website, the teaser, the music vid, the support videos from fellow musicians, singers and actors, he really goes all the way, to the unprecedented achievement, even when it's compared with BIGBANG, another fellow Korean that marked their presence in Hollywood. Ever since the release of the music videos, many "Youtubers" are coming to watch the videos that went viral and explosive, thanks to his "classy suit, cheesy act" performance in his music videos.

The heck did this man do, but still most people love it.

Personally I don't think he will make it; not until this level, but I can assure you, I like his video, with his "nonsensical" artistic style. But if you watch his previous video, such as "Right Now", "Champion", "Bird", "Entertainer", you will know that this man is really as he portrays in his hit-sensation Gangnam Style. He has the quality, the quality that makes people enjoys together along with his antics. It's no wonder why he is also called "King of Entertainers" or "King of Concerts"; he give his all to his fan during his concerts.

If we talk about his dance; the choreography, it's just very simple (for most of people though), the "horse-riding" dance, a suit, a black spectacles, and a bow. However, I have to admit; he is creative, in his own way. The making of the video clip, depicts how he starts galloping at the pedestrian crossing in Gangnam, a place known as it's highly sophisticated lifestyle of its residents.

In it, Mr. Park, 34, does a “horse riding” dance that looks vaguely like what children do when they hop around pretending to be galloping. In short, the performer, popularly known as PSY (short for Psycho), has done what K-Pop bands have failed to do. While those groups have choreographed their way to success all over Asia, they have made less headway in other parts of the world. His video has more than 220 million views on YouTube and several parodies themselves have gone viral. A recent spoof landed some lifeguards in California in trouble: news reports say they were fired for using city property as their set."

Until now, this video has currently reached 731,550,596 viewers, an unprecedented record for a Korean, and an Asian, that has never ever directly promoted in US. It is, now hold the record of the 2nd most viewed video in the world; only his new US labelmate Justin Bieber tops him with his hit single "Baby". He also hold the most liked videos in Youtube with 5,124,147 like, beating LMFAO's "Party Rock Anthem".

And that's not all; he won "Best Video" at MTV Europe Music Award just few days back, beating nominees M.I.A, Lady Gaga, Katy Perry and Rihanna.

Fansubber : The Real Drive Behind Hallyu Wave?

I certainly wonder, how can the Hallyu Wave spread into the non-Korean-speaking nation? It's just so that they should have a medium to present the show in a way that people can understand what are the talk about? I think that the real drive behind the Hallyu Wave is the Fansubbers itself.

Honestly, how can the like they show without even know what they are talking about? The Koreans are always said that the reason people like them because of their music that can penetrate the hearts of the youth, their dramas that can touch soul of the softest person. But how is that true without they even understand the contents of the show itself?

So here's the solution; the Fansubbers. I'm not a Korean, but my friends really loved it. Listen to the music, dramas and variety shows make them laugh and cry together. But before that, let us define what the fansubber is.

Simply stated, that fansubbers are the people who take their time to sub the content of show (usually their favourites) into the language where they can understand of. They are not paid to do it; it is just a hobby for them. They survived by donations made to them using internet transaction into their account, usually the donation used for server maintenance. Personally I do not understand, why suddenly some party wanted to summon the people who made this? Ever since the SOPA-PIPA incident, many file sharing site were busily deleting their members' files, or trying to restrict it to just a file storage site? Of even in some country, they are even blocking the torrent site, to the means of summon them if they break the rules? Obviously, is this are helpful to them? In the name of copyright, they are actively suing as many individual as possible that involved in either making, distributing and even watching the contents that was subbed to the way that we are finally UNDERSTAND the show!

Pardon me, this is a little political, but I was just upset with some people who are trying to generate money by using filesuits to people who does not even received money from the job the are really like and not even receive profit from them itself? Now it happens to become very difficult just to watch the programme that I like. Even they deleted their videos in YouTube services. It goes to this extend - I can only watch it once, in television.

I do not know if I should say this; you, the fansubbers, I am very grateful to your determination to just doing this as a hobby itself, not  afraid of any hindrance coming towards you, and providing a very precious alternative services that aims to just one thing; makes us happy. You may have difficulty in generating money sources to maintain the base, and I don't even have a pence of money to donate for. However, believe me, as many donator who appreciate all of your works, there are many more people who are impressed, just by thinking that you have effort to do fansubbing and even providing an ALTERNATIVE VIDEO SOURCES, which a little or not, contributing to the expansion of any industry that we love alike.

[p/s: it's very emotional, isn't it. I just wanted to express mu frustration to something that i like, very much. it could one of the few interesting things that left in my life. Till then...]

Lately, there is a song that I like to listen, repeatedly. The music is very refreshing, a little bit melancholic, but has sweet melody. It's good to listen during free time, and unlike most Korean song that utilise techno and auto-tune technique, this song is composed using guitar, with a little touch of piano (I guess), but overall it is sweet to listen.

[p/s: This song depicts one's first love as a wild, unknown flower, called Illa. The flower blooms beautifully, but hidden on the street, nobody notices, until it is too late. This clearly shows in the music video, when the girl did not realise the love until it is too late, but till then, she still keep the feeling, hoping that he will realise the answer to the confession made by the boys. The love story symbolises as the unrequited first love due to misunderstanding in youth life or inexperience in love. Well, that says it, but this is just my interpretation; it was just difficult to interpret it literally and generally. Till then.....]

Which Will Be The Next Singer To Win in Music Chart??

Lately, there are many idols debuted, and not little of them won the music chart. Meanwhile, there are several group/singers that do not win any music chart show (excluding the real time chart, digital chart, etc.) until this article is written. Therefore, shall we predict which singer/group will win the music chart show, as recently, there are some moves to abolished music chart show, as opposed to the current format [click here]. It may look like a prediction, but let's just read my suggestion.


EXO-K

Another project by SM Entertainment, and their project is always satisfying. Consists of two subgroup, EXO-K and EXO-M (k for Korean; M for Mandarin), this group enters the scene with several trailer posted by the company. Sleek performance, as well as strong fanbase gathered even before their official debut, this group may promise you some excitement; it could be to reminisce the golden age of DBSK, one extravagant group ever produced by SM Entertainment, currently holds the record for most registered fans in Korea; almost 800,000 in Seoul only.

Real Name : Choi Jun Hee
Debut : April 29, 2011 (Japan); June7, 2012 (Korea)


Another hottest rookie emerged, giving a different feel in music style. She was occasionally associated with nation's younger sister IU with her guitar playing skill, but unlike IU, her acoustic music is her main genre. Already made names in Japan after winning Japanese audition program "Niji Iro Supernova", she will be the singer expected to win music show sooner.

Spend much time of her life in New York, she was not called "Scary Rookie" for nothing. Deep inside her cute, innocent personality, lies her strong, sensual voice that even shatter some of the powerful vocalist in the nation. Only with her debut song "Heaven", she already compete head-to-head with Big Bang for winners of KBS Music Bank K-Chart, which eventually goes to Big Bang. The alarming potential of hers was already noticed when she participate in Chuseok special show held by MBC, "Singer and Trainee", along with her mentor Wheesung. With her cover of Beyonce's "Halo", she mesmerise the viewers and even fellow contestants with her sultry New Jersey style of singing. She will win that's for sure; it's just a matter of when it happens.

Debut : April 21, 2011


It looks like these boys gained much recognition, thanks to their latest album, "IGNITION". Their lead single, "Baby I'm Sorry" sparked shockwaves along the fans, which composed and written by one of their member, Jinyoung. They might be new, and there is a long way to achieve the winning feat, but as Beast and Infinite, they will follow the suit too.


U-KISS

Group Name : U-KISS
Debut : August 15, 2008 (Japan), August 28, 2008 (Korea)


This group remains one of the oldest boy group that never ever won any music chart show, until now the article is written. They are at a generation of 2PM, SHINee and 2AM, yet they still do not win any. Many hit singles that they have released, such as "Man Man Ha Ni (Am I That Easy)', "Round and Round", "0330" and "Neverland", but neither of them have won. It is hope that they will end the winless streak in music chart, and I believe they will, soon.

Running Man : The Guest

As far as I know, now there are about 94 episodes of Running Man have aired (till this article posted). Therefore, there are many guests have featured in the show, abide its slow rating growth, now they are the leading variety show to date (thanks to the labour union strike invoked in KBS and MBC; it helps SBS show gain its points). However, among the guest, which tops the rating list? Let's check it out!!!

15. Episode 69 - Choi Minsoo [Rating: 16.9%]

This episode is the continuation of Episode 52, when Choi Minsoo was betrayed by the tricky Yoo Jaesuk in creating alliance to beat Kin Jong Kook's team. However, the betrayal of Yooruce Willis has made him to ask Running Man staff for a return. Called "Grasshopper's Hunting", he shows no mercy to Yoo Jaesuk, as he set up all the rules in the games, pointing on creating fear among Running Man members.

14. Episode 86 - Ha Ji Won, Gaeko (Dynamic Duo) [Rating: 16.9%]

Who doesn't know Ha Ji Won? One of the prominent actresses in Korea, her appearance in Running Man would surely boasted the show's rating as well. After a successful return to small screen throug blockbuster weekend drama SBS "Secret Garden", people would never miss her in any show. Themed as "Running Man Championship" this episode secure some good rating for it.

13. Episode 80 - Go Ara, T-ara Hyomin, Im Soo Hyang [Rating: 17.2%]

This episode features among the rising artist in the scene. After sending a love call to Running Man staff, Im Soo Hyang finally casted in this Running Man episode, along with teen star Go Ara and idol group T-ara Hyomin. Themed as "Charlie's Angel" episode, the mission disguised as "Retro Blind Date", so watch it as it progressed.

12. Episode 87 - Han Ga In [Rating: 17.4%]

Called "First Love" race, this episode is based on Han Ga In's latest hit drama, MBC "The Moon That Embraces The Sun", which hits more than 40% rating for its slot. First appearance in variety show, Han Ga In shows some unexpected action which will make viewers melt into her lovable character. An episode that would never miss it.

11. Episode 81 - No Guest [Rating: 17.4%]

This episode was a continuation of another no-guest series that Gary has won before. Called "Gary's Memories", this episode begins when Gary was just back from European Tour, in the airport, after Running Man fulfill his wishes to have tour if he won "Running Man Survival Series Part 2". The members need to unlock what is inside Gary's mind in order to win the race.

10. Episode 91 - No Guest [Rating: 17.6%]

This episode featured the return of Yoomes Bond. Themed as "Yoomes Bond 1st Anniversary", the race is based on the top American series, "Prison Break", with a little twist in the end. There are many unexpected event happens during the mission progress, including one that even shocked the staff. Nothing lose in watching it.

9. Episode 74 - No Guest [Rating: 17.7]

Called "Running Man Survival Series 2", but it was most popular called as "Christmas Superpowers Episode". In this episode, every member will be given a present in the Christmas which will be useful in the main race. Many series of unexpected events happen before Gary sealed his second win in this episode, which grants him Europe Tour. This episode is the predecessor of what is called "Gary's Memories" episodes later.

8. Episode 84 & 85 - Big Bang [Rating: 17.7% -  Part 1; 16.9% - Part 2]

Big Bang is back! As well as their grand comeback, their entrance is also grandiose, too. When Running Man members arrived in a Jeep, they have no idea that Big Bang will make their entrance from helicopter, landing at the riverbank of Han River. Aired in 2-part series, this episode will show the frontal attack of both teams, as well as counter attack of Big Bang, after being humiliated by the Running Man.

7. Episode 93 & 94 - 4minute Hyuna, miss A Suzy, f(x) Krystal, KARA Seungyeon & Gyuri [Rating: 17.7% - Part 1; 17.0% - Part 2]

This episode will feature all girl group idol - so called High School Girl Episode 2 - together for the race. This episode consists of "Survival Game" - Part 1 and "Wedding Race" - Part 2, the presence of the girls will make all the members go wild with their antics! On of the best episodes ever, and for sure, high ratings achieved; a happy response from 4nias', Say As', Aff(x)tions' and Kamilias'.

6. Episode 79 - Kim Jae Dong, Yoon Do Hyun [Rating: 18.0%]

This episode was shot directly with previous episode (episode 78 - Chohanji Mission with Lee Bum Soo & Hong Soo Hyun), where it spans for 2-3 days, taking flight from Seoul to Busan. Based on the detective movie "Sherlock Holmes", Kim Jae Dong sure make the show more interesting, as Yoon Do Hyun's quirky character added some spice to the show. Probably one of the best mission ever created by Running Man, this should be the episode to watch for.

5. Episode 70 - Son Ye Jin, Lee Minki, Park Cheol Min [Rating: 18.0%]

Episode 70 might be the first episode to feature some of the hot star in the entertainment industry, as Son Ye Jin made her first appearance ever in variety show genre. Called "Phone Race", this mission is based slightly on Lee Minki's new movie, "Quick". In this episode, Son Ye Jin made quite an impression, even scaring the producers inside there, with her "blackmail"! An episode not to miss.

 4. Episode 82 & 83 - Lee Dahae, Oh Ji Ho [Rating: 16.7% - Part 1; 18.1% - Part 2]

"My Girl" effect is still on! Lee Dahae visits Running Man with such a charisma, melting the casanova, HaHa. Her trick inside her sleeves will not be going wasted. Called "Spy Game", this episode specially created as an turnaround to usual previous format that let the guest be the spy. This will surely caught Running Man members in the act, as they might guess that the guest will certainly the spy of the show.

3. Episode 75 - Super Junior Choi Siwon, SHINee Minho, Wonder Girls Sohee, f(x) Sulli, SISTAR Hyorin [Rating: 19.2%]

The new year episode featuring the most promising act in the idol world will surely attracts the viewers; if not all, the ELFs, Shawols, Wonderfuls, Pluses and STAR1s will surely watch that. Called "Mathematics Race" this race fully applied mathematics equations to win the race. Look forward to the excitement and frustration of the member, who struggles dealing with maths!!

2. Episode 72 & 73 - Lee Min Jung, Jung Yong Hwa, Jackie Chan (cameo) [Rating: 17.5% - Part 1; 19.2% - Part 2]

One of Running Man overseas episode. this episode will also feature special cameo appearance from Hong Kong Superstar, Jackie Chan, delivering missions to the Running Man members. Aired in 2-part, this episode will features some of fascinating places in Hong Kong, as well as the appearance of rising actress Lee Min Jung and CNBLUE leader, Jung Yong Hwa.

1. Episode 76 & 77 - IU, Ji Jin Hee, Joo Sang Wook, Kim Sung Soo, Lee Chun Hee [Rating: 18.6% - Part 1; 20.1% - Part 2]

A follow-up appearance by IU will surely boost the rating. The arrival of "nation's little sister" will surely attracts majority of the viewers outside there. Added up to the ratings were the skillful chase by the 4 killers in hunting Running Man member, this episode surely brings you thrills, fear and excitement to joy for.

It's now a new topic, maybe some info for those who r interested only.

Basically, i wouldn't download any drama without any reason. To me, one of the reason i would download it is when the rating are necessary enough to convince me to download. Btw, let me tell u guyz sumthin' bout it.

Every drama that airs in TV has a company that organised in the rating system of the drama. However, there is no solid science on how to interpret these rating percentages. For drama fans, simply the drama with the highest percentage is the "winner" for the week. The fans use these numbers to decide which dramas they should watch during the remainder of the season. Despite this simple interpretation, there are one or more factors that may come into play that explain why some dramas receive higher percentage points than others. For example evening dramas draw better ratings than dramas that air in the mornings and afternoons. These r some data that may help you choose the best drama for your enjoyment.

Now then I have something to say after a few times I'm blogging. There are topics that I would like to discuss about, after quite some time. BTW, let's just enjoy what have I prepared for the post.


Ever since idol generations takes place in Korea, there are times when younger generations will replace the older one. Basically, nowadays the debut age for the idols have become younger compared to before. Therefore, there is a time when idols born in 1990's have made their debut in the industry, beginning at early 2000's. Since then, many 1990's children make their presence, until now.


Several years later, these 90's generation idol have made noticeable impacts in the industry, and this idols are now likeable and lovable by Korean citizen somehow. The question is, which idol now considered the most successive, consistent, and of course lovable by others? What about the non-idol artist? Would they also give impacts in the industry?


Well, this is my ranking, but you may make it as reference of even disagree with it. So, why don't you take a look?? I reveal to you, my Top 30 Artist Born in 1990 and Beyond [since Korean regards early 90's born (1990 before Lunar New Year) as in 1989 line, well I just make the ranking based on their actual birth in calendar). 

30. Minzy

The maknae of 2NE1 is well-known for her sleek dancing, as well as her strong, powerful personality.
