Chart Again: My Top 10 Slow Korean Song List

Ellow, we meet again..

For 'tis month, I would love to show you yet another of my personal preference of my favourite slow songs. It's just in my blood that I like to listen to several song that did attracts my attention, with its groove, sweet and yet I can't get it over; can't even get it out my mind, listening to these catchy song.
With my pleasure, I will show you, my preferred list of these melodic songs.

1. EXO - Growl

Ever since the song hits the airwaves, it has never left since. Certainly, this song have catapulted the rookie boyband EXO into stardom. It has a groovy feel; simple yet catches the attention of the listener. Disagree? Watch the video.

2. Teen Top - To You

A great song by Teen Top, but i wonder why it doesn't really reached peak like its predecessor song promoted, Going Crazy. Nevertheless, I like this song, particularly because of the song arrangement. It molds together R&B element, as well as pop, this song is surely get into my list.

3. SHINee - Hello

I would consider the song in ballad category, but it is still an ear candy to me. This song makes me feel at peace, wonderful and more important, it is not melancholic. SHINee did well pulling this song, considering that their musical philosophy is techno-oriented and more experimental, such as Ring Ding Dong, Lucifer and Sherlock.

4. BIGBANG - Cafe

Definitely G_Dragon is a musical savant. Most of his songs are a hit, and this is not an exception. "Cafe" is not a song they promoted, but the melodies and tunes this genius arranged is great. It is a relaxed song, sweet to listen to.

5. U-Kiss - 0330

A first move by U-Kiss to sing ballad song, although it was not much successful, it marks the turning point of the group after the member's exit from the group; Kibum and Alexander. Nevertheless, this song is a good catch, very melodramatic yet it soothes the blissful listener.

6. Busker Busker - Cherry Blossom Ending

They do not ever promote their song in TV shows, yet their song managed to claim top spot in the show. Busker Busker is a runner-up winner of Superstar K season 3. This song was released in spring, so its called Cherry Blossom. It is a very relaxing song, and the music video is also panoramic and full of tranquillity.

7. Jung Yeob - Nothing Better

It is been told the the member of Brown Eyed Soul, Jung Yeob only done composing the song in just 3 hours. Never he knew that this song would be a massive hit among drama lovers and of course, couples. The song is just a simple, yet sentimental song that will deeply catches your mind. Take a couple of minutes listening to it, and I'm sure you would also enjoy that.

8. Super Junior - No Other

Who says that Super Junior only releases techno upbeat song? They could also sing ballad too. Introducing to you "No Other, one of the best slow tempo song Super Junior have ever performed. Wanna hear it? Let's go check it!

9. Se7en - I'm Going Crazy

I admit, this song is melodramatic. But at least I like the arrangement of the song, and the way Se7en expresses himself singing it.  The music video starred his lover Park Hanbyul, and it revolves around their relationship, more or less, explained in the interpretation of the piece.

10. Park Bom - You & I

It seems like this song is not really a Korean song, the first time I listened to it, but the moment I listen to the singing voices, I never expect that it is indeed, Korean. Introducing Park Bom's "You & I", the only female singer made into my list. The song really touches my mind, as well as my soul, the moment I listen to the first beat of the song. Nevertheless, I should recommend you, listening to it.

[p/s: well this is what i have decided for my favorite list, but anyway, it was just my opinion. You have your other selection, up to you, and I don't hold any copyright to all the media shared in this post. I would like to credit my post to sources available in completing this post. How Time Flies..

Ellow.. Welcome back!! (after such a very, very long while...)

It seems to me that my ideas of writing the blog have already drained, and perhaps I might discontinue posting articles in the blog. However, part of my mind suggest me to keep writing the blog, although I have not maintained this blog for a while. Therefore, for this post, I should dishes you with something attractive, just so that next time I will be encourage to continue writing my inside thought here.

Time have passed, and ever since then, I must say here, that I've already lost my track on K-pop scene, and perhaps its entertainment industry. Putting up together some dismal drama aired on the tele, just not so interesting that it even copies numerous Japanese-scripted drama as remakes. Nevertheless, some of the dramas managed to gain spotlight, at least in my perspective. Let us review together with me, the dramas that make the cut.

1. The Heirs

Starred by many of them view as the hot young prospect of the industry, the much anticipated "drama of the year" pieces led by the infamous Lee Minho, well known for numerous blockbuster drama KBS "Boys Before Flowers", MBC "Personal Preference", and SBS "City Hunter", a name that no need for introduction. The lead actress Park Shinhye, acted in early of last year's cable TV drama TvN "Flower Boy Next Door" and in wildly successful SBS "You're Beautiful", which put her name in the map of entertainment scene across Asia. Together joined the production are Kim Woobin, who rise into fame after his hit drama KBS "School 2013" alongside Lee Jongsuk, in which put his name in the wanted actor list. Supporting actors involved in the project are Kim Jiwon, most notable in her roles in SBS "To The Beautiful You" and short dramas such as KBS "Waiting For Love", Krystal Jung (MBC "High Kick 3: The Revenge of the Short-Legged", member of girl group f(x)), Kang Minhyuk (KBS "You Who Rolled In Unexpectedly", member of boyband CN Blue), Kang Haneul (SBS "To The Beautiful You", TvN "Monstar"), Park Hyungsik (member of ZE:A - Children of Empire), and Choi Jinhyuk (MBC "Pasta", SBS "It's Okay, Daddy's Daughter", and MBC "Gu Family Book").

The collaboration between the director of SBS "Tazza" & SBS "Midas", together with the scriptwriter of SBS "Secret Garden" and SBS "A Gentlemen's Dignity", it scores rather well in it timeslot, reaching an average of 16.7% Seoul viewers and 18.4% nationwide. The drama was proven succesful in terms of rating, eventhough it receives stiff competition form KBS drama "Secret Love" at the beginning of the broadcast. The drama, after a long while of hype, tuned in the television, with the beginning part of the drama was shot in Malibu, California in the summer.

2. I Hear Your Voice

Led by the award-winning Daesang winner Lee Boyoung (KBS "You Who Rolled In Unexpectedly and KBS "The Equator Man") and the rise young talent Lee Jongsuk (SBS "Secret Garden" and MBC "High Kick 3: The Revenge of the Short-Legged"), the drama was somehow a theme repeat of 2012 drama of the year SBS "The Chaser", portraying humanities as its main theme. The drama's strength lies in its strong character and storyline, together with the critically-acclaimed act of both the lead actors Lee Boyoung and Lee Jongsuk itself, particularly the former, who won her first Daesang ever, thanks to her acting prowess. The touchful acts and also the perfect reprisal of psychotic villain in actor Jung Woongin ( KBS "Ojakgyo Brothers") helps in gaining its own audience during its broadcast. Together with Yoon Sanghyun (SBS "Secret Garden and KBS "Take Care of The Young Lady"), this drama is worth watching for.

3. Gu Family Book

Starred by the "bluechip" of the industry Lee Seunggi (SBS "My Girlfriend is Nine-Tailed Fox" and SBS "Brilliant Legacy") and Bae Suzy (KBS "Dream High" and KBS "Big", member of girl group miss A), the alternate history drama provides alternatives to the viewers who crave for some fantasy romantic genre. And this was the trend of last year's production. Audience who watch the drama will be pleased to watch the chemistry of both actor in getting into their character. last for 21 episode, the drama never feels bored for those who watching the whole episodes of it. The smooth storyline written by the scenarist Kang Eun Kyung, who is famous in writing the 2010 national drama KBS "King of Baking, Kim Takgu". The drama also features some popular actor such as Lee Yeonhee (SBS "Paradise Ranch" and a 2006 it movie "A Millionaire's First Love"), Choi Jinhyuk (MBC "Pasta", SBS "It's Okay, Daddy's Daughter", and MBC "Gu Family Book") together with supporting cast Lee Yubi (KBS "Nice Guy"), Sung Joon ("SBS "Lie To Me", TvN "Shut Up Flower Boy Band") and Yoo Yeonsuk (movie Introduction to Architecture).

4. The Master's Sun

The romantic comedy queen is back with another bang! Gong Hyojin (MBC "Pasta" and MBC "the Greatest Love") has return with her new project, together with another great actor So JI Sub "SBS "What Happened in Bali" and SBS "Ghost"). Another romantic comedy in stores, the lead actress sure have her talent under he sleeves. Comedy has always been the mainstream trend in the entertainment scene, but with a touch in supernatural element make this drama totally different with the previous comedic predecessor. Together joined the cast is Seo Inguk, after his successful transformation from audition singing contest winner to an actor with success drama under his belt, with TvN's "Reply 1997" with A-Pink Jung Eunji. A gamble to create the drama on metaphysical theme, but it is a success in this project. Surely Gong Hyojin a lady luck in every drama she stars; this drama is not an exception.

5. Good Doctor

The only KBS Drama in the list, God Doctor stars Joo Won, who was famous with his highly praised works in KBS "King of Baking, Kim Takgu" KBS "Bridal Mask" and MBC "7th Grade Civil Servant", alongside the ever improving Moon Chaewon (SBS "Brilliant Legacy" and KBS "The Princess Man" and "Nice Guy"), this medical drama is another hot drama aired in last year's period. It was rare to see a medical drama triumph in the rating battle between the main 3 public brodcaster, but Good Doctor is an exception. Joo Won who has already known in his short stint in KBS veriety show "2 Days 1 Night", proved that his magic in acting is still not faded yet. And so Moon Chaewon, the actress gained attraction after her firm courteous dynasty lady portrayed in move "War of The Arrows" puts her name in the most-sought after actress. The combination of both popular actors led to the success of the drama, supported by the matured acting of the actor Joo Sang Wook (KBS "The Thorn Birds", SBS "Paradise Ranch" & SBS "Giant") and chic acting by Kim Minseo (KBS "Sungkyunkwan Scandal", KBS "Babyfacd Beauty" and MBC's 2012 most successful historical drama "The Moon That Embraces The Sun".
